The winners of the Best Industrial Design of Russia award were 20 projects, 15 of which were the works of Moscow enterprises. The companies received awards in the Product Design, Prototype Design and Audience Award categories.
More than 500 companies from all over the country applied to participate in the competition, which was held for the first time this summer. The award was established by the capital's government with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation in order to popularize and develop industrial design.
The competition jury evaluated design of furniture and interior items, electrical devices, vehicles, urban design objects, household chemicals, food packaging, and shoes in the Product Design and Prototype Design categories.
